Ciro Velasquez joined BNN Bloomberg's digital team in January 2023 as a Web Content Editor, assisting with the upkeep and management of video content on BNNBloomberg.ca and its social media accounts. Since joining the team, Ciro has contributed to the growth of BNN Bloomberg's digital footprint as well as the brand's online presence. Based in Toronto, he specializes in online video content creation, management and editing. Ciro has a professional interest in media and entertainment, along with business and current affairs. Prior to joining BNN Bloomberg's digital team, he produced and co-ordinated digital content for iHeartRadio Canada, producing and covering events such as the Juno Awards, the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival. He also produced, edited and covered the performances of artists such as Tate McRae and Nickelback. He has had the opportunity to work in various television and media productions in both the United States and Mexico, and was previously a video and marketing executive with the Canadian International Fashion Film Festival, helping produce the awards show in 2021. Ciro holds a bachelor of communication and digital media from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico, certificates in screenwriting, directing and acting for film from the New York Film Academy, and a broadcast television and videography honours diploma from Humber College. He previously interned as a production and post-production assistant at Archipelago Productions. He speaks English and Spanish.
