(Bloomberg) -- A fire in Zhangjiakou City of the northern Hebei province killed eight people and left 15 others injured, the local government said on its official Wechat account.
The accident occurred around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday at a vegetable market in the Qiaoxi district, according to the local authority. Zhangjiakou was one of the host cities for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
