(Bloomberg) -- Malaysian prosecutors filed an appeal against a court decision acquitting Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former Prime Minister Najib Razak, of money laundering and tax evasion charges.

The appeal was filed Friday, and it encompasses the entirety of the High Court’s decision, Malaysia’s Attorney General said in a statement posted on X.

Malaysia’s High Court on Thursday acquitted Rosmah of 17 charges involving 7.1 million ringgit ($1.6 million), a decision that she hailed as a birthday gift to herself and her husband, who remains behind bars for crimes related to troubled state fund 1Malaysia Development Bhd.

Rosmah is separately appealing her guilty conviction over a graft case and faces a lawsuit over luxury goods allegedly linked to 1MDB.
