Christiane Germain, co-president and co-founder of Germain Hotels says her hotel chain has had to suspend operations at 5 of her 18 hotels, adding that a wage subsidy may help her pay her employees but, like many hotels, she still faces a 0 to 25 per cent occupancy rate in many properties.
