U.S. debt to GDP stands at 125%, inflation necessary to de-lever it: Wincrest's Bernard
Barbara Ann Bernard, CEO and CIO at Wincrest Capital, joins BNN Bloomberg for her view on inflation as the latest U.S. CPI data rose 6.8 per cent from previous year. Bernard noted that as high as this number is, inflation is necessary to help de-lever the current debt to GDP of 125 per cent. Bernard's advice to hedge against these stressors include diversification, anti-bubbles, green metals, asset and cash flow back investments and European markets. She added that her firm is shorting some popular tech names as tapering will impact them.
