(Bloomberg) -- Galaxy Digital Holdings Ltd. hired Point72 Chief Financial Officer Anthony Paquette to serve in the same capacity at the crypto conglomerate run by billionaire Michael Novogratz.
Paquette served as CFO of Point72, Steven Cohen’s asset management firm, for more than four years. Before then, he was business unit leader at fintech SoFi and managing director at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Alex Ioffe will transition to a senior advisor role at Galaxy starting in January, according to a statement Friday.
Galaxy, which trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange, has sought for several years to list its shares in the US.
“Tony’s substantial track record of overseeing finance operations at some of the top firms in finance will enable us to further enhance our operational infrastructure and aggressively scale our business globally,” Novogratz said in the release.
