(Bloomberg) -- Jefferies Financial Group Inc.’s co-head of global investment banking Alejandro Przygoda is leaving the firm, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
The pending departure of Przygoda, who is also global head of the bank’s financial institutions group, was recently communicated to staff, said some of the people, who requested anonymity discussing a move that isn’t yet public. His next steps couldn’t immediately be learned.
A representative for Jefferies declined to comment.
Przygoda, a longtime insurance dealmaker, joined Jefferies in 2021 after about a decade at Credit Suisse, and previously worked at Greenhill and UBS Group AG, according to Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records.
The Jefferies financial services team has worked on deals this year including Mubadala Capital’s agreement to acquire CI Financial Corp. as well as a $1 billion investment in New York Community Bancorp led by former US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin’s Liberty Strategic Capital.
